  Three years and three fabulous trips thanks to Chris Mahoney and Uncover Latin America. First year was to Peru with the goal of visiting Machu Picchu but we were also introduced to cultural aspects of the country and gathered an appreciation of Peruvians. We visited Lima, Cusco, Agua Calientes and spent several nights at an incredible jungle lodge, Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica, on the Rio Madre de Dios in the heart of the Amazon Rainforest. ​​​​​​​ Second year, to Ecuador where we took in the sprawling and historic city of Quito, stood on the Equator, travelled the Avenue of Volcanoes, enjoyed the lovely city of Cuenca and then spent several nights on a houseboat touring through the Amazon Rainforest on the Rio Napa as it flows eastward to the Amazon river with stops to enjoy the scenery, wildlife and meet indigenous peoples along the way. Third year, Argentina and Brazil. We visited some of the unique and interesting neighbourhoods of Buenos Aires like Palermo, Recoleta, La Boca and the Tigre Delta. All very special in their own way. Spent a day at an Estancia being gauchos including the horse-back riding and feasting. Of course, we spent a few days in Mendoza wine country enjoying various vineyard visits and wine tastings as well a cooking class followed by a seven course meal with different wines for each course. We toured the Andean cordilleras showing off their beautiful colours and a close-up viewing of Aconcagua. Our trip to visit Christ the Redeemer of the Andes was harrowing but well worth it and set foot in Chile at the top. Spent a few day at Iguazu Falls to view the largest waterfall system in the world from both the Argentinian and Brazilian sides. Spent a couple of days in Rio de Janeiro staying on Copacabana Beach while visiting Ipanema beach, Sugar Loaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer. Now, you can just imagine all the logistics involved in doing all that and we can honestly say that we never had a problem. So, if you want a great vacation, without hassles, entrust the experience to Chris Mahoney and Uncover Latin America. Buen viaje.

  My daughter and I had the most fantastic experience in Peru and give all the credit for the quality of our trip to Chris and Uncover Latin America. Our itinerary, housing, meals, trek experience, and tour operators were excellent, thorough, and professional. We highly recommend ULA for travel in this part of the world!

  Chris Mahoney with 'Uncover Latin America' made our trip to Peru and Machu Picchu a delight- beautifully planned itinerary with great guides entire trip, and recovery by Chris of our lost baggage on return home flight.Highly recommend his great tour guide service for South American trip!.

  We had an excellent trip with Uncover Latin America. Great attetion to detail. Guides were great, hotels were excellent and everything ran very smoothly and professionally. Highly recommend for anyone planning a trip to Peru.
