    Una experiencia horrible. ReservĂ© el auto con una semana de anticipaciĂłn. El dĂ­a anterior al retiro del auto pasĂ© por las dudas por las oficinas de Miraflores a chequear que estaba todo bien. Al momento de presentarme a retirar el auto me dijeron que no habĂ­a. La mejor soluciĂłn que me daban era que espere unas 5 horas por si llegaba algĂșn auto. Haga caso a esta recomendaciĂłn y la de muchos otros usuarios que comentan exactamente lo mismo. Hertz es un papelĂłn. En Budget me dieron la soluciĂłn.

    We are still waiting for our car. We supposed to drive to Paracas from Lima but our car is nowhere. We went to pick it up but they told the car is still at the airport they will take it to our hotel the JW Marriott. We have checked out, when we call them they say 20 minutes all the time. It has been for 4 hours ago. We are tourist and do not dare to drive after dark. They distroyed our whole day but what is the worth is the level of service or I would say the lack of service.

    Warning – DO NOT RENT FROM the Lima airport Hertz office. I was in Lima in March 2018 with my family, and rented a car from Hertz at the airport. I rent from Hertz frequently both in the US and internationally. I made the reservation online, as I always do. I purchased full insurance, as I always do. The car had 60,273 miles on it. When I returned the car, the bumper was intact with no scratches, but there was a piece of plastic hanging from the front bumper. Hertz charged me an additional US$369 to repair it, despite my having the full insurance coverage. They said that they would do me the favor of not requesting that I file a police report, which I have never had to do in any other country when I have returned a car with a slight scratch or dented fender. (They said this in a threatening way, knowing that I was rushing to catch my flight.) They justified this extra charge of $369 because they said the car had to be sent to the mechanic and they couldn’t rent it while it was being repaired, so I had to pay an extra fee to cover that. WHAT???? I have NEVER heard that argument anywhere. And, in addition, I had returned the car 20 hours before it was due, so they could have used those hours to repair the car, instead of charging me for several additional days. Having the full insurance coverage is supposed to cover you for exactly this kind of issue. Their idea of charging me an extra $369 because the car would have to be out of commission while it was being repaired is completely bogus and false, the daily rate for this car was $121 plus $40 in taxes. They have a clause (in the fine print on the back of the contract – point 18) that says that the renter will have to pay for the time that the car is being repaired and can’t be rented, which they showed me. So, technically, they are able to do this. But frankly, this is ridiculous. Why do you pay full insurance? Again, I have never encountered this anywhere else when renting from Hertz. Unfortunately, I had to catch a flight, and wasn’t able to stay and argue this with them. They are dishonest and will do anything to try to get more money from you. BEWARE before you rent from Hertz at the Lima airport. Full coverage doesn’t include windshields and windows I had to pay additional insurance. Also your taxes go up to 33% because you are renting at the airport.

    We reserved the car 3 days in advance. The front desk lady did not allow us to rent the car because of our late arrival of 90 minutes. We were stranded at the airport with no cell phone service. The front desk lady did not help and was rude. We are very disappointed and hope everyone stays away from this Hertz location. STAY AWAY.
